We are Jinxo Films, an audiovisual production company born in Barcelona, which since 2018 has strived to convey the essence of each project, based on the emotion that each athlete or brand feels doing what they love.
Personal and professional experience in the audiovisual and extreme sports worlds has led us to establish ourselves as a versatile, creative team with the ability to perform in any possible scenario.
We like to be involved in the entire project creation process in order to help the client define exactly the story they want to tell. We believe that only in this way can we manage to move the viewer.
I am Alex Villanueva and I was born in Barcelona in 1993. I am a professional skateboarder with a degree in Computer Engineering and a DP at Jinxo Films. I started skating at 17 and that changed my life. I filmed the first videos with my homies. In 2012 I filmed the video for the Reel Life competition with Gazpacho Boards, with which we won second prize.
After that I focused on my career and it wasn't until I injured my back that I picked up my partner's reflex camera at the time and never let it go again. I decided to quit my job and go skate in California and then I did a season in Andorra with my friend Juanca. We started creating photos and videos for ourselves and after a while we decided to found Jinxo Films.
Since then hI have had the privilege of working with athletes of the caliber of Danny León, Olympic skateboarder, and Mery Muñoz, international inline champion, as well as filming events like the Extreme Barcelona, learning every day and staying motivated to get the best shot.
I am Juan Carlos Gutiérrez, born in Barcelona in 1990. I have always felt a strong connection to nature and to practicing all kinds of sports within it. At the age of 18, I was given my first DSLR camera, and I discovered the world of photography. At first, it only served the purpose of immortalizing memories, but over the years it gained relevance in my life, until in 2018, returning from a great summer season with Alex, we considered creating JinxoFilms and turning our passion into our profession.
